Broken Arrow Band 50/50 Raffle Rules
The Broken Arrow Band Booster Club, Inc. (BABBC), operates as a non-profit organization under the laws of the State of Oklahoma for the primary purpose of supporting band related educational activities of the Broken Arrow Public Schools (BAPS) in Broken Arrow, OK. The 2026 BABBC 50/50 Raffle ("Raffle") is conducted for the purpose of generating funds to offset band financial obligations.
1. ELIGIBILITY
Each entrant, by entering the Raffle, agrees to abide by all of the rules and conditions contained herein, as well as all applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations, and further agrees to release BABBC and its directors, officers, volunteers, members and employees from any and all liability with respect to all aspects of the raffle including, but not limited to, the selection process and all activities associated with the prize awarded. The Raffle is open to any eligible person residing in a state, county or city where the Raffle is not prohibited. Executive Officers of the BABBC Board of Directors, BABBC Fundraising Executive Committee members, BAPS Band Directors and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate in the Raffle. Immediate family members is described as spouse, children, or any extended family living in the same household. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older, of legal competence and a legal resident of the United States of America.
2. TICKET DISTRIBUTION
Numbered tickets ("Tickets") for the Raffle shall be issued in conjunction with voluntary contributions made to BABBC for the purpose of generating funds to offset band financial obligations. Ticket prices are as follows:
- 1 Ticket for $5
- 5 Tickets for $20
- 15 Tickets for $50
- 40 Tickets for $100
There is no limit to the total number of Tickets that will be issued. An entrant can enter the Raffle and obtain Tickets by making donations at a promotional event, directly to members of the BABBC, to Broken Arrow students soliciting donations, or where Tickets are made available. Donations can be made via cash, check, or online. Tickets will be available from February 4, 2026 until 11:00 PM Central Time on April 17, 2026. All Tickets will be issued and recorded on a first come, first served basis. Winner must have the original Ticket in order to receive the Prize. Failure to produce the original Ticket within thirty (30) days of Raffle drawing will result in forfeiture of the Prize and an alternate winner will be drawn. Tickets have no cash or redemption value.
3. BABBC BENEFITS OF TICKETS
Donations qualifying for Tickets are for the sole purpose of band related financial obligations including, but not limited to show expenses, student uniforms, and band travel.
4. GRAND PRIZE
The Grand Prize is fifty percent (50%) of the total net proceeds from all Ticket sales, less applicable federal income tax withholding. Net proceeds are defined as total Ticket sales revenue minus raffle expenses. The exact Prize amount will be determined after the close of Ticket sales on April 17, 2026 at 11:00 PM Central Time.
No substitutes for the Grand Prize are afforded by BABBC. The Prize will be paid by check.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF GRAND PRIZE WINNER
Winner will be required to provide BABBC with a valid U.S.A. social security number and must complete all IRS and similar forms requested by BABBC prior to payment of the Prize. Failure to do so within thirty (30) days of request shall result in an automatic forfeiture of such winner's Prize.
The Prize is includible in Winner's gross income and will be reported by BABBC to the IRS. The voluntary contribution associated with the Tickets is not deductible except to the extent the actual contribution exceeds the amount paid for the Tickets.
Winner must complete and sign a W-2G form and all required tax forms, and verify his/her social security number prior to release of the Prize check. BABBC will withhold twenty-five percent (25%) of the Winner's fifty percent (50%) share of net proceeds for federal income tax withholding. For example, if the Winner's share of net proceeds is $10,000.00, BABBC will withhold $2,500.00 for federal income tax and issue a check to the Winner for $7,500.00. BABBC will remit the withheld amount to the IRS on behalf of the Winner. Winner is responsible for any additional taxes owed and for any backup withholding required by the IRS.
BABBC will file a form W-2G with the IRS to report the full value of the Prize won (before tax withholding) and the taxes withheld and paid by BABBC on behalf of the Winner. The Winner will receive a copy of the W-2G. Winner should consult a tax professional regarding tax obligations.
5. WINNING CHANCES
There is no limit to the number of Tickets that will be sold. Each Ticket represents one chance to win the Grand Prize. Chances of winning depend on the total number of eligible Tickets sold.
6. DRAWING
The Grand Prize Winner will be determined by a random drawing of all eligible Tickets issued by the entry deadline. The Grand Prize drawing will be held at the Broken Arrow Band Annual Banquet on April 24, 2026 and will be supervised by members of the BABBC Board of Directors. All eligible Tickets issued by 11:00 PM Central Time on April 17, 2026 will be eligible for the Grand Prize drawing. An alternate Winner name will be drawn, and such person will be contacted by BABBC in the event that the original Prize winner is deemed ineligible. Winner need not be present to win.
7. WINNER
Winner will be notified by a BABBC representative by phone, e-mail or by mail based on the information received on the Ticket registration. Name of Winner will be available to all media and will be available at the offices of Broken Arrow Fine Arts Department and listed on the Broken Arrow Band's website. Winning entrant agrees to allow BABBC to use their name, likeness, and any statements made by him/her regarding the Prize for advertising or publicity purposes without compensation. Winner may be required to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability release. Failure to do so if requested, or if Winner otherwise fails to comply with these rules and/or to make arrangements to claim his/her Prize within thirty (30) days of notification will void that entry and thus forfeit the Prize.
8. AWARDING OF GRAND PRIZE
More than one name may be listed on a registration, but the first name listed shall be deemed to be the entrant. A valid U.S.A. social security number must be provided by the Grand Prize Winner, and it must be that of the entrant. Payment of the Prize shall be made solely to the entrant. In a multiple party entry, it is the sole responsibility of the entrant to allocate the Prize among the participants in a multiple party entry.
9. AUTHORITY AND CONTROL
The decision of BABBC shall be final in all matters concerning the Raffle. The Raffle is subject to the laws of the State of Oklahoma. Void where prohibited by law. BABBC reserves the right to amend, modify or otherwise alter these rules at any time.

The 2026 Broken Arrow Band 50/50 Raffle is overseen by the Broken Arrow Band Booster Club, Inc., in Broken Arrow, OK.
